Beautiful chapel located above Haibach. A way of the cross also leads there.

Nice chapel in Haibach - the interior is beautiful. There is also a beautiful Way of the Cross nearby.

Lovingly prepared and cared for…. For those who use it accordingly, there is certainly a point of contact

The chapel was built for Marian devotion on the initiative of the Schoenstatt women. Inside is the miraculous image of the Mother of God (Schoenstatt Mother of God). The bell was donated by the Franciscans from Großkrotzenburg.

The Marienkapelle at the height of the "Stornberg" testifies to the Marian devotion in Haibach. Marian shrines have surrounded the community for many years and indicate a strong Marian devotion. As early as the 1950s, Johann Großmann had provided money for a Marienkapelle in his will, but his wish was not realized at the time. Since 1972, when women and mothers came together to form the Schoenstatt group, Marian devotion in Haibach flared up. In 1978 the Schoenstatt Mothers were given a picture of the “Mother Thrice Admirable” and the desire for their own chapel to venerate the Blessed Mother arose again. Even before Pastor Egon Hölzel began his ministry in Haibach in 1980, this wish was brought to his attention and he immediately worked to make it a reality. The question of location was a problem until the diocesan seminary provided a piece of forest on the way to the picture beech on the district boundary to Hösbach from the seminar fund. The forester at the time, Siegfried Franz, had the piece cleared and so the ground-breaking ceremony was celebrated in September 1981. "The chapel should become a place where people call on Mary in all their worries and needs," Pastor Hölzel prayed at the time. The chapel was inaugurated on July 24, 1983. According to Emil Albert's plans, the chapel blended in well with the landscape. The chapel is often used for church services and May devotions. Since 1996 there has been an ecumenical prayer here on the evening of Christmas Day.
