The panorama board is part of the geology trail "The Traunsee - A landscape is created". The glaciation of the Traunsee region in the past ice ages is explained on six display boards.
The boards are located in places with great views between Gmundnerberg and Neukirchen. They are dismantled in winter.
There was a seventh board in the former Hochkreut Wildlife Park. The wildlife park was closed in 2011.
