Ottobeuren has been a recognized Kneipp health resort since 1957 and continues the teachings of Sebastian Kneipp. And what not everyone knows: Sebastian Kneipp was born on May 17, 1821 in a small hamlet called Stephansried, which belongs to the parish of Ottobeuren.
