The Lehrensteinsfeld defense tower is the oldest building and landmark of the place. It was built as a defense tower in 1466 and was later the tower choir and church tower of the old Laurentiuskirche. The Laurentiuskirche was torn down again in 1969, the tower itself was still preserved, although it was also dilapidated. The original half-timbered structure was then dismantled in 1998 and rebuilt in 2005/2006 in its current form, but modified from the old structure.
