With sections dating back to the 1500s, Eversley Church has seen a few things in its time. Nestled in the quiet, north Hampshire countryside, this serene church has a fascinating connection with literature.

Between 1844 and 1875, Charles Kingsley was the rector here. Friend of Charles Darwin, Kingsley was the author of The Water Babies and several other works of fiction. His own life story is fascinating and wide ranging and he's buried in the churchyard here.
