The Tennenloher Forest is a nature reserve close to the city within the Sebalder Reichswald and is considered to be one of the largest sand ecosystems in southern Germany. Crossed by wide paths and narrow paths, it is a great place to cycle or hike. On a large open space, a former shooting range, you can watch Przewalski's horses and goats, and there are valuable bog areas and ponds everywhere.
