The ascent to the Hallesche Hütte via the Jägerstieg is my absolute favorite climb in the Harz Mountains. You seldom find such steep paths. The reward in the form of a phenomenal view over the Harz Mountains has definitely been earned after climbing almost 300 meters in altitude from Romkarhalle. Don't forget to take a look at the waterfall in Romkarhalle!

Wow what a climb. The madness. As steep as it looks at first, it is not. And the climb is worthwhile. The view compensates for the effort.
The stamp office 119 of the Harzer hiking nobility is located in the refuge!

The view to Romkehalle and into the valley is gigantic. However, only experienced hikers with suitable footwear should go the Jägerstieg.

The steep ascent is worth it, the view makes up for the exertion.
Nevertheless, be careful, make sure to wear sturdy shoes and if it is wet there is a risk of slipping. 👍

Great place with a unique view of the Okertal and stamping place of the HWN. Steep climb over the Jägerstieg.

The steep climb should be considered well with children. I was happy where I was upstairs

The steep path is borderline with children, I would not climb high and certainly not down. Dogs that are well leaded that is just yet. We are high but decided on the return trip for the slightly longer but not so steep path.

From the Romkerhall car park, a challenging path that requires a certain level of fitness, surefootedness and good footwear, but is a great experience.

The ascent over the Jägersteig is narrow and steep, it is more comfortable from the Okertalsperre. Stamp location of the Harz hiking pin

Stamping point no. 119 of the Harzer hiking nobility, 576 m high, after a steep ascent (nickname "hellish hut") you have an amazing view of the rock landscape of the Okertales.

You can see the Hallesche Hütte from a distance and think, well ... then you stand above the Okertal and the view is breathtaking. Although the federal road "only" meanders through the valley (unthinkable if it were pure nature), the distant view (in the background the village of Oker) is terrific

Nice steep ascent from Romkerhall to Halleschenhütte.
But the view makes up for everything. ;-)

The ascent to the Ahrendsberger cliffs on the Jägersteig is exhausting, but the view through the Okertal valley to Goslar and beyond is worthwhile ...

Beautiful steep Auf.bzw. Descent. Here I would recommend that only experienced hikers with sturdy shoes, without children or animals and only in dry weather hike the Jägerstieg. It is a steep Trampelfahrt where it is interesting if you have oncoming traffic. Very beautiful landscape with a great view.

One of the most beautiful trails in the Harz.
Be careful, only hike with good shoes and in good physical condition.
    The view is fantastic
