The Saint-Wandrille abbey, formerly the Fontenelle abbey, is a Benedictine abbey of the Solesmes congregation located in the town of Rives-en-Seine, former town of Saint-Wandrille-Rançon, in the Seine-Maritime department, in Normandy (France). Founded in 649, the abbey has had a long history marked by three major periods of looting and destruction: those linked to the incursions of the Vikings, then those generated by the wars of religion, and finally those following the French Revolution. It is still today an abbey of Benedictine monks.
