The small side street Am Günthersbrunnen is north of the Marktstrasse that leads through Bergen-Enkheim. There in front of the half-timbered house no. 23 stands the "Günthersbrunnen" (17th century) on a paved corner, which was renovated in the 18th century. It is a baroque well, the name of which can be traced back to a long-established Berger farming family. The rim of the fountain is walled with Vilbel sandstone. The shaft has a depth of 16-25 meters and is walled up with limestone. Two iron frames with two rollers are attached to the edge of the fountain as rope supports. Hemp ropes ran over it with the buckets in order to carry the water upwards. The construction of the sewer system in the early 1960s partially destroyed the soil structure and interrupted the flow of water. The well can be found in an inventory from 1827. When the water pipe was laid in the municipality in 1897 and the well became superfluous, it was given a plank crate to cover it.
