How did such a small town come to have such a beautiful church?
Deinting is mentioned in the oldest list of goods as early as 788.
The Church of St. Sixtus and St. Sebastian Deinting consists of Nagelfluh ashlars and has been repeatedly redesigned over the centuries.
We owe the current form to a redesign in 1765, but in the years 1888 - 1891 all baroque elements were removed again, the Gothic structures were uncovered and renewed (e.g. net ribs), the church was provided with neo-Gothic altars and painted.
