Aizkraukles hillfort (Latin: castrum Asscrad) is an ancient hillfort of the Daugava Livs with an ancient town on the right bank of the Daugava in the current Aizkraukles district. It is located in a strategically advantageous place between two streams flowing into the Daugava, the largest of which is called Ašķere.
