This quarry lake is located between Porta Westfalica and Costedt with a great view of the Wiehengebirge. You should definitely stop and take a break at the lake. This quarry lake is a dream!

On the northern side of the lake, partly in the lake, there are still neglected dredging and conveyor systems from the gravel excavation that was discontinued years ago. You should still be very careful here (officially entering the site is forbidden, as is bathing, camping, barbecuing, etc.). Otherwise, the lake and its banks have long been largely renatured and have developed into a true natural paradise over the years.
