The top of Mount Galera can be reached via an equipped path that allows you to safely climb the passages on the granite rock typical of the Island of Elba. Reached the 969 meters of the top, which does not have a signal cross, you have a breathtaking 360 degree view.

As on the whole route between Monte Capanne and the GTE, a great view and heavenly peace, since you are mostly alone.
No wonder, because it is the most demanding piece from the 00s.
For me the most beautiful place between Monte Capanne and the GTE.
In directions, the ascent from Monte Capanne (east) is described as the dangerous route to the Galera, the descent (west) partly runs directly on the edge of the break. Steel cable secured, but surefootedness and a head for heights are essential.
Normal hikers should think about a via ferrata set and gloves, as some sections are secured with steel cables. People under 1.6 m tall may have difficulties in some cases, as the grip and step areas are quite far apart.

Just a great view over the island. Here you can enjoy it undisturbed, because for good reason not so many get lost here.
