The strikingly compact village church of Bagow with the salmon-colored plastering has a special history behind it: At the beginning of the 20th century, the original church in the center of the village was destroyed in a fire and removed a little later. The new, today's church was built a few years later according to the plans of the royal building officer Georg Büttner. It was inaugurated in 1907. The church was co-financed by the Ribbeck family, who held the church patronage of the previous church. Some objects rescued from the previous church are still there today, such as the richly decorated baroque altar and the pulpit.

The hall church has an octagonal plan with a pointed tower on the east side. The church also has a striking volute gable. Inside the church, the stained glass windows depicting Jesus, Archangel Michael and the village church are also striking. Paintings and gravestones are reminiscent of the Ribbeck family.
