The bell tower of Romanesque architecture was built in the 12th century, while the pentagonal-shaped cloister was built in two different periods: in the 14th century, in Gothic style, and in the 17th century concluded in its current form

"The Abbey of San Gemolo in the district of Ganna is a former Benedictine monastery that existed from 1095 to 1556. The church was first mentioned in the 12th century.
