In the center of the village of Spielberg, the church is visible from afar. It was built in 1840-42 with a steeple height of approx. 26 m. The church is set from south to north, the apse with pulpit altar is on the north side. Overall, the interior is kept simple with an organ gallery and two side galleries that rest on 10 columns. The two-manual organ from 1912 (Strobel company, Nuremberg) is a listed building and is valued as a gem by all organists. To the east of the church building is the former rectory, which is now used as a Kirchner apartment and community center. In the direction of Kornberg, almost at the end of the village, there is the church's own cemetery.
