The high moor at Oberwiesenau has been renatured. The high moor area was created by springs and is extremely interesting for botanists and geologists. Rare plants grow there, such as the Charlemagne scepter. Pale yellow foxglove, orchid and arnica are also strictly protected. Bilberry and cranberry, cotton grass, oil grass and sundew grow on typical raised bog plants. This should definitely be done on the official paths. Highly recommended.
