The first settlements in the area date back to the 6th century before Christ. Lost in the countryside, Forglieta is one of the hamlets that make up the municipality of Arpino (famous for being the birthplace of Marco Tullio Cicerone). It began to empty from the 1970s, when the inhabitants moved to other larger and better served centers. Many still remember it: here there was an elementary school that gathered children from the nearby countryside, and its closure, about forty years ago, decreed the end of the district.
