An ancient, narrow oak avenue, which was probably there when Gabriele Münter and Wassily Kandisnky settled here in 1908. The avenue leads to a beautiful vantage point of the Bavarian Alps and further into the Murnauer Moos.

Hiking

Rarely do you hike in the foothills of the Alps through such a beautiful avenue of trees, made of oaks at that. You almost feel like you are on a ritual path of the old Germans down to the moor. The gigantic view of the Alps is an absolute bonus.

Hiking

Beautiful old oak avenue 🌳🌳 with a view over the Murnauer Moos and the surrounding mountains.
The Eichenallee was laid out between 1870 and 1880 by Emeran Kottmüller, a founding member of the Murnauer Beautification Association. The avenue consists of 140 old oak trees and leads from the Münter Haus to the Ähndl on the northern edge of the Murnauer Moos.
Beautiful to go, just a treat 🤩👍
