The place here at Keglerheim Stiege is a good resting place. Right next door is the train station staircase. . It is an important intermediate station of the Selketalbahn (one of the Harz narrow-gauge railways) that begins in Quedlinburg and branches off here to Hasselfelde and Eichsfelder Teichmühle. The turning loop was built in 1984. It is the smallest turning loop on a public railway in Europe. The Selketalstieg, a hiking trail that leads 75km from Stiege to Quedlinburg through the Eastern Harz and the Selketal, also begins here. Information boards provide information about the Selketalbahn and the Selketalstieg.
