This viewing platform for the Ludwigsquelle nature reserve has been located directly on the cycle path between Groß-Karben and Burg-Gräfenrode since December 29, 2011. It ensures a clear view of the nature reserve. An information board explains the need and goal of the first nature reserve in the Wetterau. The idea for the viewing point came from Dr. Jürgen Becker, chairman of the Nature Conservation Association in Karben. The costs for this were borne by the Higher Nature Conservation Authority of the State of Hesse. The planning and implementation of the project was the responsibility of the former nature conservation officer of the Nidda Forestry Office, Josef Tiefenbach.
