Salvikens nature reserve is a collecting basin for many migrating water birds in autumn. With a bit of luck, tens of thousands of barnacle geese with their typical, deafening calls are worth seeing. The historic construction of the two blocks of Sweden's first barsebäck nuclear power plant to be taken offline is exactly opposite. A very serious incident in 1992 in Unit 2 and its proximity (~ 20 KM) to the metropolitan regions of Copenhagen and Malmö contributed to the selection of this NPP.
