Villa Vredelust is hidden in the overgrown forests at the T-junction of the Baron van Voorst to Voorstweg and the Bredaseweg in Tilburg. This long gable farmhouse, dating from 1884, was in the past inhabited by various textile barons, among others. From 1973 to 2013, Villa Vredelust was owned by the municipality of Tilburg. During that period, the building was inhabited anti-squat and it is badly run down.
Villa Vredelust is officially called Heidepark. However, in Tilburge and surroundings it is known as Vredelust, so the current owners have decided to continue to call it Vredelust.
