Flat, straight gravel stretch through the woods.
Fairly wide and not too technical, but look out for deep potholes and thorny bramble branches sticking out at head-height.
Slippery when wet, I'd recommend 28-32mm in the dry and 35mm+ (ideally with some knobbles) in the wet - good punture protection or tubeless tyres with sealant are recommended too due to the thorny branches you may find in the path.

Good fun on a gravel bike, maybe too easy for MTB.

It's a shared path, so please always cycle responsibly and look out for hikers and dog walkers.

This is known as "The Devil's Highway" and is on the line of the Roman road that went from Calleva Atrebatum to Pontes (Staines).
Other parts of it are accessible further east.

Nice off road track. Stays reasonable even in winter. Great for gravel bikes.
