This fantastic hill is one of two in the south west of Cornwall, lying to the west of Helston and overlooking Mount Bay. Every inch of this area is stunning, and reaching the top of Tregonning Hill allows you to see it all unfold before you. Praa Sands and its gorgeous beach sit below, whilst charming Porthleven is just to the south east.

Hiking

The war memorial (WW1 & WW2) to the "parish" Germoe marks the top of Tregonning Hill, at 194 meters above sea level. That doesn't sound very high, but it's higher than the rest of the country nearby, and the hill gives great views of the north and south coasts, Mounts Bay, The Lizard etc on a clear day.
