Reuden is located northwest of Wolfen directly on the federal highway 9 south of the eastern Fuhne.
The Reuden local council has 5 seats.
Reuden was first mentioned in a document in 1323.
The place belonged to the Electoral Saxon Office Bitterfeld until 1815.
He came to Prussia through the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna and in 1816 was assigned to the Bitterfeld district in the Merseburg administrative district of the province of Saxony, to which he belonged until 1944.
