Simple landscaped and very popular green area with plenty of space for all kinds of activities and some quieter corners. The main attraction is the large beer garden and once a year in July the Magdalenenfest.
Founded in 1720 as a pheasantry, later expanded to the game park as a noble hunting ground, of which the game enclosure at the beer garden still testifies today. The public park was already open to the public at the end of the 18th century - at the same time as the English Garden. Between 1958 and 1970 redesign and expansion as an urban park.

Narrow public green area along the railway line. Developed in the course of the development of new city quarters on the former railway site since 2007. Fast foot and bike path connection to the city center, unfortunately not completely.
The name "Pioneer Park" indicates that attempts have been made to integrate remnants of the natural growth of game on the railway site into the redesign.
