Los Lobos Tower
It was built as a coastal surveillance system by the Nasrids.
Demolished by an earthquake in 1680, the Torre de los Lobos was rebuilt in the 18th century during the reign of Carlos III and in 1991 its restoration was undertaken.
It was declared a Site of Cultural Interest with the category of Monument.
In 1993 the Junta de Andalucía granted special recognition to the castles of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. To get there, we must take a track in Rodalquilar and walk for around 2.5 km. From the summit we will enjoy spectacular views of Cabo de Gata.
La Polacra lighthouse
Since September 9, 1991
works as a beacon to cover the
space between Cabo de Gata and
by Mesa Roldán. Restoration of
the tower was quite faithful to its original.
The lighthouse that is on top is fed
by photovoltaic energy and your flashlight,

long and steep, it is worth the effort to enjoy the impressive
views offered by this watchtower.
Since its inauguration it was attended by the technicians of the Mesa Roldán lighthouse
until 1994, when I was in charge of the Cabo de Gata technicians.
