Because in Burg there are underground cellars and dark passages.
When some topers in the inn boasted about how brave they were, the "bravest" finally hung a drum around his neck and went ahead into the dark passage,
further and further in. The drumming became quieter and quieter, the others fled in horror. The drummer was never seen again...
But on spooky nights, you can still sometimes hear him...
