The watch tower was built at the end of the 15th century as part of a late medieval defense system in the Brandenburg-Kulmbach margraviate. Only the Hofer watchtower has been completely preserved. The 9.25 m high tower stands on the 570 m high Wartberg east of the city center of Hof and is unfortunately not accessible.

Beautiful historic tower with a great view of the courtyard and seating behind the tower. Unfortunately, you cannot climb the tower.
