Mountain Biking Highlight
2 weeks ago we rounded the Wocheiner Lake in a clockwise direction. With the MTBs. Starting point was the parking lot at the climbing rock just near the bridge over the drainage of the lake. The stretch up to the back of the campsite we have covered on the sidewalk, because we could avoid the busy road. Then over the bridge over the inflow and past nice little houses, which you can also rent. Then there is a big sign that you have lost nothing on the trail with MTBs. We asked somebody in English how serious that is. The answer was rather that we should turn around. Since we push on our tours again and again on sections of our MTBs, we have tried anyway. The trail can be partially driven and then again sliding. However, we then came to an area where trees were criss-crossed by windbreaks and the further progress was quite arduous. A way of bringing forestry vehicles was a bit of a relief - but driving was sometimes challenging. But in the end we made it, hopped for refreshment in the still cold lake and were happy to have mastered a not so easy tour again.
