The church you see is called Sint Lauretius and has existed for 1000 years. A prince-bishop of Liège (Balderik the 2nd, 1007-1018) from Liège donated them. It is plausible that a church has stood here for 1000 years. The current church tower is made of marl and dates from the 13th or 14th century. An earlier church was in disrepair after the French era.

If you have time you should definitely go to the church because it looks nice from the inside.
But who has time before the notorious Bemeler Berg.
