Much smaller than the originals, but crafted at least as laboriously and still in operation today - these miniature models of classic Black Forest mills show you the various uses of the local water-powered mills in a playful way. These were used either for grinding grain or for sawing wood. Sometimes hammer forges were also driven by water power. Look closely, then you can discover the individual machineries in the models, how they move, knock and turn.
