Tips
You can drive both in front of the dyke (with a view of Wangerooge) and behind the dyke ("aft Diek") with a view of the fields on wide concrete paths. The change is possible at several transitions. Sheep with their lambs graze on the dike. Apparently they prefer to do their "business" on the paved paths, so that you have to "slalom" here from time to time. Bike rental companies reserve the right to charge appropriate cleaning fees. But apart from that: very nice, of course especially when the wind is not too strong.
