Friedrich Toedter's rock garden, with its boulders that were "pushed" naturally from Scandinavia during the Ice Age 😊 is quite nice.

The stone is on the way to the "Schäferhof, an old farmstead"

Beautifully landscaped rock garden in wonderful nature. You pass it directly on the cycle path from Neuenkirchen to Soltau.

From the Schäferhof, after about 750m south you reach the rock garden. What has motivated people to pile large stones on top of each other for thousands of years? In early times, this could only be created as a large joint effort, e.g. pyramids, megalithic (chicken) tombs, monuments. This artificial or artistic intervention in nature is viewed differently by both locals and holidaymakers. Amphibians such as frogs and amphibians love the heat-storing stones. The rock garden invites you to linger and think about transience and time.

I find the rock garden very impressive and also a bit mystical - I can definitely recommend it, you just have to see it for yourself.
The critics who describe the rock garden as an artificial intervention in nature should please remember that Stonehenge, for example, was ultimately created "artificially" and that is precisely why it is "artificial", but also undoubtedly real historical art.
I think it's very good that Friedrich Toedter created this exceptional rock garden. I expressly support it and it should be appreciated accordingly.
