The Mutton Bird or Short-Tailed Shearwater stops at Griffiths Island once a year during their annual migration.
They stay here raising their young from September till April before heading off.
They return to their burrows at dusk each day and make for a spectacular sight.
Please stick to the tracks, as wandering amongst the dunes can collapse their burrows.
