The Brokdorf nuclear power plant is located in Schleswig-Holstein, near the city of Glückstadt, on the Elbe. It was put into operation in 1986 and has been an invariably successful operation ever since. In terms of annual electricity supply, it has so far been among the ten most powerful nuclear power plants in the world a total of 21 times.
