The core of the Old Town Hall in the historic center of the city dates back to the 14th century. In 1882 the ensemble was completely redesigned under the leadership of the Munich architect Gabriel von Seidl. He created a picturesque assembly in the neo-renaissance style from the four original houses. Although the building looks homogeneous on the outside, the angled interior still gives an idea of this story.
Today the old town hall houses the seat of the mayor and the two mayors as well as other municipal offices. It is on Rathausplatz, directly opposite the administration center - the New Town Hall. The finely paneled, historic meeting room on the first floor offers a festive setting for weddings and official city receptions for anniversaries, athletes' honors or on the occasion of special meetings. Seats for up to 40 people can be set up in the hall.
