Risnjak Mountain Lodge

Risnjak Mountain Lodge (724 m above sea level) is run by the Risnjak Mountaineering Association, of which the members of the band Cinkuši are an integral part today. Risnjak is open on weekends and offers food and drinks, but also accommodation by arrangement. Due to its popularity and proximity, they should go to lunch a little earlier, because they often run out of food by 2 pm. I recommend the excellent strudels and poppy seeds, which are perhaps the best I have ever eaten in mountain lodges and restaurants.Risnjak was built by members of the society in 1955 and has maintained the authenticity of the mountain lodge to this day. It is located on a glade called Pongračevo. In the immediate vicinity is Pongračeva lugarnica. There are no views from the home due to the dense forest, but a beautiful view of Zagreb can be seen a hundred meters below the house on trail number 9 towards Mikulići.
