The Bonstapel is 342 m above sea level. NN the highest mountain in the East Westphalian city of Vlotho and also in the Herford district. The mountain is located in the south of the municipality of Vlotho and naturally belongs to the Weser and Lipper Bergland. On June 30, 2020, in a ceremony with the district administrator and mayor, a six-ton boulder found in the Vlotho area with the inscription "Bonstapel 342 meters highest elevation in the Herford district" was placed on the summit.
