Among the first Italian film productions to choose Campo Imperatore, mention must be made of the film They continued to call it Trinità, a successful spaghetti-western from 1971, directed by director Enzo Barboni, with the famous couple Bud Spencer and Terence Hill.
Over 40 years after its creation, the film has become a true cult film in Italy and abroad, being among the most viewed on the big screen in the history of Italian cinema.
The nearby rock spur, located about 500 meters away, which emerges from the vast gravel pit, in the Macina Valley, was the scene of the legendary scene in which a group of criminals cook a pot of beans on the fire and, twice , is robbed of food by the gunslingers Bambino (Bud Spencer) and Trinity (Terence Hill).
