In memory of the much-visited place of grace, Our Lady of the Snows near St. Stone on the southern border of Bohemia, a chapel was built in 1978 by Johann and Josef Sturany with donations from believers and displaced persons. The current church was built on this site between 1983 and 1984, and its architecture is based on the Church of Our Lady of the Snows in Bohemia. The church was consecrated by the Schlägler abbot Florian Pröll on August 5, 1984. From its location on the Hiltschnerberg, there is a view of the pilgrimage site of Our Lady of the Snows in the Czech Republic.
