The High Cathedral of St. Martin is the cathedral (bishop's church) of the Roman Catholic diocese of Mainz and is under the patronage of St. Martin of Tours. The east choir is dedicated to St. Stephen. The building, which is one of the imperial domes, is in its current form a three-aisled Romanesque pillar basilica with Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque elements in its extensions. Source: Wikipädia

The Mainz Cathedral is of course a landmark and a highlight with many centuries of history that is absolutely worth seeing. Alone the panes with the entries, who was the boss in the cathedral and when... Impressive, even if you don't believe otherwise.

The landmark of Mainz is of course a MUST. Unfortunately, the upper part is scaffolded... but renovation is also part of it 🙏🤟🦊
