The Vallforners marsh is a reservoir that belongs to the Vallforners creek (Besòs river basin), created by a dam located in the municipality of Cànoves i Samalús, in the region of Vallès Oriental. It was built between 1985 and 1989 and has as a special feature the fact that it was the first swamp in Catalonia whose dam is made of stone and compacted earth.
