Monte Schlacko stands as a colloquial term for: heap of mountains

5th to 6th August 2017

It's time again for the annual 24-hour mountain bike race through the Duisburg-Nord landscape park. In teams of one, two, four or eight, the participants are constantly on a 8.1 kilometer circuit. The team with the most laps or kilometers driven wins.

Paddock opening: August 4
Race start: August 5th at 12 noon
Race end: August 6th at 12 noon
Award ceremony: August 6 at 1 p.m.

Guests can follow the race with the supporting program on the Sinterplatz - live music, gastronomy, bike fair and large video screen. Admission is free.

NOTE TO GUESTS

Directions
From Saturday morning, August 5th. until Sunday noon, 6.8. Emscherstraße north of the Landschaftspark car park (towards Hamborn) will be closed to through traffic. The free visitor parking lot of the landscape park can be reached as usual from Neumühler Straße (B8). There are enough parking spaces. Stadtwerke Sommerkino
The Stadtwerke Sommerkino takes place as usual. The beer garden at the summer cinema is open as usual from 6 p.m.

Route
Due to the route, parts of the landscape park area will be closed to visitors from August 4 to August 6. Affected:
> Passage through the storage bunkers 2-5
> Bunker walkway above the ore bunker system
After the 24-hour race, the park can be explored again as usual.
