A little off the main road in a shady, small valley is this little idyll: the Hörleinsödt chapel and next to it the spring with the healing water, which is said to help against eye diseases.

People have been making pilgrimages to the Holy Water in Hörleinsödt for 500 years.
Pilgrims wash their eyes with this water because it is said to help against eye diseases, inflammation, etc.
(Dr. Georg Rohrecker is of the opinion that the importance of holy springs and all-round healing springs has unfortunately often been trivialized and downgraded to Augenbründl.)
Locals as well as guests from far away come to this spring to drink this healing water. Here they fill up on water and energy. A "place of power" in the granite land of the Bohemian masses.

It can be read that the first chapel "Holy Water" was built in 1250. Next to the chapel there is a fountain with medicinal water. The source rises above the well.

During our visit in May 09 there were many visitors to the healing spring. The visitors filled the water to drink in the bottles they had brought with them. It is said that this water can be kept for up to a year (!) without becoming undrinkable.

A few steps above the holy water you will find a replica of the Lourdes grotto:

The Heiligwasser chapel with the “Holy Water” source is located about 3.5 km from Haslach an der Mühl in the direction of Hörleinsödt. By the way: The “Tanzbodenweg” hiking trail also leads directly past this holy place.
