The architectural style of the Langenseifen Chapel, designed by the Construction Department of the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau (EKHN), is unusual and probably unique in Germany. At the same time, it follows the natural environment in which the chapel stands. The special dome shape of the building traces the slope and envelops the altar stone like a cloak. The special dome shape of the building was planned as a wooden structure and realized with a supporting structure made of bent glued wood trusses. Only local, untreated wood was used for the construction.
