Windgällen hut

The Windgällenhütte, located at 2,032 m in the picturesque Maderanertal, offers 60 beds in nine bright rooms, each with 4-15 beds equipped with Nordic blankets and pillows. The facility is open from the beginning of June to mid-October, while in the winter period there is a winter room with 8 beds, accessible by telephone reservation. Traffic closures unavoidable
2020 is an execution year. Therefore, there will be construction work this year. In the first phase of the renovation, support structures on the valley side and the road, including drainage, will be restored from below in the area of the second spiral tunnel. This work is expected to last until the end of October this year.
While the work is being carried out, traffic closures between Amsteg and St. Antoni are unavoidable, write those responsible. Three traffic regimes with day and night closures and defined drive-through windows are intended to ensure a regulated flow of traffic. The authorities do not expect any traffic obstructions on weekends. Special provisions apply on public holidays.
