The Bosnian Obelisk is located in a village called Bačići near Olovo. People know very little about it.

According to historians, this obelisk was built in the 14th century by the first Bosnian king Tvrtko I Kotromanić. Tvrtko I is considered one of the greatest kings of the Balkans. He was a great warrior who conquered most of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian region and even parts of what is now Croatia and Serbia.

Nobody knows exactly why he decided to build an obelisk in the middle of the forest, but there is an interesting legend about it. According to legend, Tvrtko went hunting in the forest and was wounded by wild boars. He built the obelisk in the same place. Nowhere else in Bosnia is there anything like this construction.
