Bell's Bridge is a pedestrian and cycle bridge spanning the River Clyde.
It was originally constructed in 1988 as a temporary link for the Garden Festival, connecting the SECC (Scottish Event Campus Centre) site to the southern bank of the Clyde.
The bridge, equipped with a swinging mechanism to accommodate passing ships, was initially under the ownership of Scottish Enterprise. However, it was later transferred to the city council.
It forms a key part of NCN 7, a long distance cycle route connecting Sunderland with Inverness.

Bell's Bridge is, for me, the most beautiful and interesting pedestrian and bicycle bridge...
simply an architectural masterpiece...
unfortunately, we didn't see the bridge being swung open to allow boat passage.
